Well what can I say about Cancerians? They are wonderful. But to be serious, Cancerians are very sensitive people. They are a Water Sign and as such can be very sensitive and at times appear moody. It is very rare that Cancerians are aggressive; their natural nature is for an easy, relaxed, romantic, caring-sharing life. Traditionally classed as a very maternal sign. Cancerian women rather than necessarily wanting children are fertile whether they like it or not (there are very few Cancerian females over the age of 30 who do not have or want children). They are all very aware of the value of money and are usually very good at budgeting their needs. To some people this can make them appear mean. Yes, this can be true but usually Cancerians are very generous to their loved ones. Their natural inclination is to try and help people in a way they are most suited to. This can land them in trouble however, especially when young, as they tend to be very trusting. And it's only with time and experience they learn the realities of the world and the people in it. With time the Cancerian crab like shell gets thicker and thicker hiding their soft, sensitive souls.

They are one of the most expert signs of the zodiac for erecting walls or barricades between them and anybody trying to get close. This is a shame because usually behind their own self-imposed wall, they are screaming to get out or to let somebody in and get close to them. Like the previous sign Gemini, they too can let their imaginations run away with them especially where romantic inclinations are concerned. But Cancerians differ in that they can imagine themselves in a relationship, married, having children, and potentially getting divorced from someone they have only just met. All Cancerians are born worriers and if everything is hunky dory they will worry that they have nothing to worry about. Like their fellow Water Signs of the zodiac, Pisces and Scorpio, they are ruled to a major degree by their emotions and intuitions. All Water Signs are very intuitive. This can cause problems when it comes to making a decision where their intuition is telling them one thing and logic is telling them another. A way of spotting a Cancerian with potential imbalances in their planetary aspects is to find out if they enjoy cooking; the majority of Cancerians, male and female, enjoy cooking. If yours doesn't, astrologically there is some imbalance in the flow of their chart.

If you are potentially dating a Cancerian man, one of the ideal ways to find out how stable he is to find out his opinion of his mother. Cancerian men fit into three distinct categories: Cancerian man 'A' loves his mother, thinks his mother is one of the most wonderful women in the world and gets on very well with her. This usually indicates that no matter how much he cares or loves you, he will always compare you with his mother and you will always come second. Also, if he fights this inclination and he lives with you or marries you; if his mother does not like you, you are destined to have major problems. Cancerian type 'B' thinks his mother is okay; she is his mother, they're not overly close and not enemies. This is the best blend of a Cancerian man; he is more open to finding a long-term relationship and not constantly comparing you to his mother and not too bothered if his mother doesn't like you. Cancerian man type 'C' does not get on with his mother at all; maybe he loves her, but is always calling her names (not necessarily to her face). This type is another problem because basically no matter how much he wants to be with a woman and secure a long lasting relationship; he fundamentally has problems with the opposite sex. Sometimes it manifests itself in extreme control tendencies or jealousy, possessiveness etc.

Cancerian women can be similar to these three types, but usually not as extreme. So if you've just met your Cancerian male, ask the right questions and listen carefully to the underlying feelings about his mother. All Cancerians, male and female are usually quick to get involved in a relationship but slow to make the final commitment, unless they themselves are under around twenty-three years of age. They also love to travel and see new places but unlike the Geminis who are quite happy to travel all over the world, Cancerians can get homesick very easily. They also enjoy going back to the same resort or country they have been to a few years ago as they have a strong appreciation of the history of themselves, family and places. This love of the past tends to spill over into their style of home; they usually prefer an older dwelling than a modern home and their choice of furniture is old and antique rather than modern. Probably more than any sign of the zodiac, they need to have somewhere they can truly call home and their homes are truly relaxing and welcoming. Of course, like all the signs of the zodiac, they do have their negative sides. Sometimes this can manifest itself in elements of paranoia and taking comments that are made to them in the wrong way and there will be periods when they want to be alone and can become quite reclusive.

Health wise Cancerians will suffer due to the fact that they worry excessively. Therefore their main problems will be to do with the stomach and they often suffer from ulcers etc. They would be wise to eat sensibly although they rarely do, as they love rich food. Female Cancerians can also suffer badly from breast and gynaecological problems.
